By | August 8, 2023

Original software reviews are written by folks that use the item. They are intended to provide observations that help other people make smarter buying decisions. Reviews can easily discuss the good and bad aspects of software. They can also include tips on how to operate the software successfully and avoid common risks.

Software potential buyers can be comfortable that reviews in Gartner Peer Insights are based on actual experiences with the application products analyzed. The content can be compiled by real and independent end-user reviews submitted by dependable members within the community, such as users, analysts, consultants and purchasing experts.

During the early years of Capterra (the provider behind this kind of site), one of the founders was for adding user reviews and the other was against that. The prevailing view was that many purchasers requested critical reviews, but vendors had been wary of unfavorable reviews which may turn away buyers.

In an attempt to steer clear of shady routines, we simply publish critical reviews from individuals who have direct knowledge using the item. We as well prohibit the submission of multiple reviews by same individual or a review that is depending on the experience of an unofficial (such seeing that coworkers).

A high level00 vendor who would like to encourage your customers to write a review, we offer the free Evaluations as a Utility program, which allows one to email the own customers asking for an overview in exchange for a nominal incentive. The reviews accumulated via this method are shown across the Gartner Digital Markets network (including Capterra, GetApp and Program Advice) as well as your own site, as defined in our Reviews as a Service Conditions of Use.
